About Death By Cheesecake

The Beginning

I've been making my cheesecakes for my family for over twenty five years.  They were always saying I was not invited to parties unless I brought a cheesecake!  After years of compliments I realized I had something special.

The Business Side

Even though my cheesecakes tasted great, I needed to figure out how to make them marketable; I needed to get them consistent.  So, in the fall of 2015, I made more cheesecakes than I had made in ten years!  (My neighbors loved me!)  Finally perfecting the product and its production, I shared my cheesecakes to my guinea pigs; I mean my friends.

Go BIG or GO HOME!

For the last 9 years I've been learning as much as I can about the food industry.  How to scale, market, distribute my product, and network with the right people.  It has been an enlightening journey so far and I couldn't have done it without the help and support of my family, friends and my first customers; you know who you are.


Some of the most valuable resources I found have been the Colorado Small Business Development Center and the Pikes Peak Library.  You can take classes,  have one-on-one consultations to help you grow your business, and have them help you find other resources in the community.  


No more procrastinating, I'm ready to bring you some absolutely spectacular cheesecakes.

Myself, my children, and everyone here at Death By Cheesecake would like to thank all our customers, friends, and family this for all your love and support.  You have helped us grow from me bringing my cheesecakes to family gatherings to being recognized by The Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, The Colorado Springs Gazette, KOAA News 5 Colorado Springs, Fox 21 Morning News and now being voted Best Cheesecake in Colorado Springs!  I started my pop-up shop back in February of 2022 and the outpouring of support has touched my heart.

We will continue to work hard and make 2024 another year for growth.  We are hoping to branch out to a second pop up shop, our own storefront and food truck venture and finally have this be my only source of income.

Death By Cheesecake Super Bowl Commercial!

Thank you to Gregory Mueller and Devin Burtley of FOX21 for producing this amazing and delicious commercial for us.  This commercial was aired at 11:45am on Super Bowl Sunday 2/12/2023.  

As soon as I got up that morning I tuned in to FOX21 and watched every commercial before the game.  When I finally saw it, my son and I were jumping for joy!  It is amazing to see all my hard work paying off and I am thrilled to share it with you as well.

No, we are not a nut-free bakery. Some of our desserts may contain nuts or traces of nuts. Please inform our staff if you have any allergies.  

Allergen Information:

Made in a facility that produces tree nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, soy, wheat, milk, fish, crustacean shellfish, gluten.  *Not celiac safe, made on shared equipment with wheat/gluten.

Yes, we offer custom orders for cakes and cupcakes. Please contact us at least 5 to 7 days in advance to place your cheesecake cupcake order and two to three weeks for 6 inch and 9 inch cake orders.

Our most popular dessert is our signature assorted sampler. It's a half dozen or a full dozen of our most popular flavors: Vanilla, Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry, Lemon and Chocolate Ganache swirl!

Delivery Fee - $5 within a 10 mile radius of downtown Colorado Springs city center.  Add $3 for every additional 5 miles.
